Professor Hoang Pham Receives NSF Funding for Collaborative Project
ISE Distinguished Professor Hoang Pham has received a Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Phase I grant from the National Science Foundation.
Pham says that the $274,880 one-year grant, which is led by collaborator Sakura Software Solutions, LLC, supports the creation of “a digital engineering tool for software and hardware system reliability and assessment that includes analytics for predicting software failure rates based on customer defects during the operation phase.”
His role in the collaboration is to develop models and algorithms for predicting the reliability of the combined software and hardware system.
For Pham, the award means an opportunity to “further research and make contributions to the field that can be applied and used in practice.”
