David Coit Awarded the Jean d’Alembert Fellowship from the Université Paris-Saclay in Paris, France
Professor David Coit has been awarded the Jean d’Alembert Fellowship from the Université Paris-Saclay Paris, France to support his research and academic studies in France in 2023 and 2024. Prof. Coit will conduct research at Université Paris-Saclay, CentraleSupelec during his Rutgers sabbatical spring 2023 semester and during summers in 2023 and 2024.
The Jean d’Alembert fellowship is a prestigious award intended to bring the top researchers around the world to France to collaborate with professors, researchers, and students at University Paris Saclay. Prof. Coit will be studying advanced research topics in risk and reliability at CentraleSupélec Laboratoire Génie Industriel (LGI). The fellowship is named for Jean Le Rond d’Alembert (1717 – 1783), a very accomplished and famous French mathematician, philosopher, and writer.
